Steps to Creating a Successful Network Marketing Plan

Once you have found a solid network marketing company to work with, your next big step will be to create a plan for your future. Creating a plan allows you to see on paper, the path you would like to take and the steps you will need to complete to get there. A plan also aids you in keeping your motivation and focus on the future success of your business.

You should start with a 5 year plan. Where do you see your business in 5 years. Mark down how much money you want to be making, and what you will need to do to get there. Once you have completed an outline for your 5 year goals, you should break it down and create a plan for a one year goal. At the end of the year, decide on how much you plan to make, how many team members you plan to recruit, and how many sales you need to make per month to achieve that.

It is always the best strategy to create monthly and weekly goals as well, just so you can see what you need to get done on a consist basis and can evaluate how much work needs to get done and how much you end up doing. This will allow you also to track what marketing/promotional methods are working out the best for you,and where the best places are for converting leads.

Determine what the calculations needed to make your yearly planned income. For example. If you want to be making $48,000 by the end of the year, you will need to calculate how many sales you need to generate that income. If the product or service your company is selling, is paying $500 per sale, you will need to make 96 sales a year. If there are 12 months in a year, that is roughly 8 a month, or 2 a week.

Next you will need to figure out how many leads it will take you to make those sales per week. If 1% of your leads will buy, then you know that you need to generate 200 leads per sale. You will then need to figure out how many leads you can contact daily, how many to invite to your presentations or parties, and then work to follow up with these to close your deals. If you can work it into your day to have 40 leads, 20 conversations, invite 10 to your presentation, and follow up with 10 people you will have a working system in order to go after your $48,000 a year income goal.

If you have joined a quality network marketing company, they should be able to provide you with tools that you can use to be able to achieve you daily, weekly and monthly plans. If you find as time goes by, you are unable to bring in tha amount of sales needed to reach your income goals, you will either need to re-assess your plans or ask your network marketing leader for help.

Creating a network marketing plan will keep you on track with working towards your goals and allow you to change your strategy whenever you need to. Dividing your plans into manageable sections, will keep you from being overwelmed. If you concentrate on the day to day tasks, change the things needed for the weekly tasks, and aim for the yearly goal, you will find it easier to keep your motivation as time goes by. Learn everything you can about the best advertising and marketing methods, and just keep pushing forward.

  1. You are soooo right about creating a plan — a new member must really take the time to identify their WHY (why they are building the business — and while the quick answer may be money, it’s never the ‘real’ answer). Once the WHY is created, the plan is created and a willingness to commit to 2-5 years, followed by recognition that anything worth having (the WHY) is worth working and building.
