About Greg Schlatter

Greg began his insurance career in 1980 as an independent property and casualty agent where he became proficient at selling all the products normally associated with an independent agency. During the mid 1980’s he moved his focus into life insurance sales supported by his P&C clients. Ultimately, his career took him to a life insurance company where he secured a position as a managing general agent. His focus was to develop and recruit agents. In the years following, Greg became a Regional Vice President and Marketing Director of a MetLife subsidiary company totally focused on worksite marketing and managed the relationship of three nationwide distribution channels, MetLife Financial Services, MetLife Resources and MetLife Auto and Home. During this time he realized that insurance sold in the workplace should not be held captive to the traditional methods of worksite marketing where employers must bow down to the requirements of payroll deductions, list bills and on site enrollments. Based upon these experiences, Greg founded miQuotes.com and began to take “worksite marketing” in a different direction by offering employer groups and associations the ability to offer quality individual insurance options without the need for payroll deductions, list billing, on-site enrollments or strict participation guidelines. By offering individual insurance on a single and customized web based platform miQuotes.com has won the appeal of companies large and small to include national associations. In April 2007, miQuotes.com was acquired by New Benefits, Ltd. and is now part of its family of companies. This acquisition allows miQuotes.com to offer non-insurance discount medical and lifestyle benefits to their arsenal of products.
