Lisa Wilber has been in Direct Sales since 1981. She did her business part time until 1988 when she got down-sized out of her secretarial job. Her Avon income dramatically increased after 1993 when she joined Avon’s Multi-level marketing program called Leadership. Lisa is currently the # 6 money earner in the country in the program with just under 2,000 representatives in her downline. During 2009, her downline sold nearly $ 9 million dollars worth of products. She is a co-author of “Build It Big” and “More Build It Big” from the Direct Selling Women’s Alliance where she was named the Ambassador of the Year in both 2004 and 2007. It’s just a day’s before we celebrate what some people consider one the most Romantic Holidays of the year Valentine’s Day. After walking through Wal-Mart one my favorite stores I browsed through the cards. Some were funny and some expressed the deep love that someone could have for another. While I did not find any that fit my fancy I did pause for a moment to think about all the reasons we love the direct sales business. Here are just a few:

  1. You can set our own hours.
  2. You get to sell a product you love and believe in
  3. It’s your choice who you decide to build a business with
  4. Direct Sales allows unlimited financial rewards
  5. Friendships can be developed that will last a lifetime
  6. The business is home-based with great tax advantages
  7. You can create a life you love
